Sardinia, Italy

“On a small island off the coast of Italy,

there lived a strange man.”

“Misunderstood” depending on who you ask.

He traveled in his van, telling stories of the fish he’d seen.

We searched along the coast,

and spent late nights looking into the ocean.

We wondered what the fish must think of us.

We agreed to disagree on a few small things.

He said the waves sang,

and told me to notice how the music can change.

He’s compared the melodies from coast to coast,

but he says he likes this one the most.

Only the strangest of us know,

you don’t know what you don’t know.
